    i have acces to a canon xm-1 and am wanting to do an animated short. iv heard that you can do stopframe on these cameras and there is a function on it where you can take one frame at a time. unfortunately i dont seem to be able to work out how to do it, lil' help please. cheers!

    Do you not have the manual? Anyway, I have an XM2 and it is simple to do. You just just select it in one of the menus. I think it's called 'interval record' or something similar and you can enter the frequency of the intervals at which you wish to record..
